“信、達(dá)、雅”，是近代翻譯家嚴(yán)復(fù)首倡的翻譯標(biāo)準(zhǔn)。
信：忠實(shí)可信，我們已經(jīng)做到；
達(dá)：達(dá)意通順，我們也已做到；
雅：文字優(yōu)雅，是新語絲一直努力的方向。
“Faithfulness, expressiveness, and elegance” has been considered essential to make a good translation since first promoted by Yan Fu in the late 9th century.
Faithfulness: Being faithful and true to the source text,
which we have successfully achieved;
Expressiveness: Being expressive and articulate, which we
have also successfully achieved;
Elegance: Exhibiting refined, tasteful beauty of manner,
form, or style, which we have been working
on persistently.
